Clinical Teaching

        • Established a teaching structure for the newly incorporated residents that both fulfills the program and the hospital’s needs
        • Learned to teach and taught to teach the complexity of surgical teachings and safety of patients
        • Alert to systematic weaknesses of the system and unknown needs of residents, developed mechanisms to adapt and introduce change
        • Coordinated and supervised junior doctors teaching and training
        • Introduced a model to objectively assess the Resident’s progression and the yearly exam as part of their curriculum.
        • Introduced and standardized teaching sessions and Journal clubs of formal and informal teaching. New cases and wet labs were introduced and a post graduate fellowship structure of the institution was developed
        • Coordinated the whole Departmental Scientific and Teaching sessions
        • Produced a large number of technical and scientific courses and presentations delivered in multiple venues for a wide variety of audience in Lebanon, the Middle East and the Gulf Region
        • Established and developed the exam’s structure of the Arab Board of Neurological Surgery for the past 15 years
        • Served on National, Regional and International committees by setting and making exams, creating new ones, and evolving the methodology and the general direction of the system
        • Participated in the Neurosurgery exam’s functions and counseling at international level
